| I first became interested in having a
Canadian Kennel Club registered dog when I purchased a
Sheltie called "Whisper" on May 17, 1983. In as very few
days an asthma problem became obvious in the family.
Thank goodness the Sheltie was purchased from a
reputable breeder so I was able to return her.
It was then that I looked into a possibility of
having a non-shedding breed and the Bichon Frise dogs
became my breed of choice. I soon became a proud owner
of my first Bichon Frise "Trevor's Lucky Touch Of Class"
who was born on March 11 1984. Lucky came from
Trevor's Kennels.
Lucky obtained her Canadian Championship on June 16,
1985. Her first litter produced two Champions. Canadian
and American Champion Cadott's Village Hellion Grice and
Canadian Champion Cadott's Premacelica of Lucky. She
also produced Canadian and American Champion Cadott's
Edwin Gregory Snowluck who under a different owner
fathered many litters until he was 15 years old.
My next champions were American and Canadian Champion
Cadott's Kasper The Ghost out of Greg and Lucky, and
American and Canadian Champion Cadott's Grand Marquise
TTA out of Mark and Prelude.
Many of my Bichons were handled to their championship
by my late friend and handler Garret Lambert. With the
passing of Garret Lambert I was fortunate when Jean
Tremblay carried on with showing my dogs.
I had obtained my kennel name in the early years and
in short time Cadott Kennel had met the criteria to
become Canadian Kennel Club permanent registered.
Twenty years later I was fortunate to become a proud
owner of my first Havanese whose registered name is Am.
Can. Ch. Sunberry's Sierra At Cadott. She obtained both
her Canadian and American championship before she was 10
months old.
My goal has always been to breed for quality not
quantity and all of my dogs are my pets first and show
dogs second.
I hope that you enjoy seeing my Bichons and Havanese
on this site.
